WPI-AIMEC exhibited at JAMSTEC Open House 2026
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) held its Open House at the Yokosuka Headquarters in Yokosuka, Japan. WPI-AIMEC also hosted a booth at the event.
At the booth, visitors learned about AIMEC’s ocean research, research achievements, and AI-related studies through posters, as well as simple quizzes and games. Two JST-ASPIRE supported Tohoku University PhD students, Tatsuki Ueyama and Kaito Shin, also attended the booth as exhibitors, introducing The International Joint Graduate Program in Earth and Environmental Sciences (GP-EES) activities and helping showcase WPI-AIMEC’s research achievements and related initiatives to visitors.
We were pleased to introduce AIMEC’s activities to more than 200 members of the public.
