WPI-AIMEC has been selected as a new ASPIRE (Adopting Sustainable Partnerships for Innovative Research Ecosystem) Program

WPI-AIMEC has been selected for funding under the “ASPIRE for Top Scientists” framework of the Adopting Sustainable Partnerships for Innovative Research Ecosystem¹(ASPIRE) Program supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), a governmental organization under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

Our proposed project, titled “Research and development of integrative analyses for marine ecosystem change and establishment of an ocean brain-circulation platform,” was selected for funding. With this selection, WPI-AIMEC will receive up to 500 million yen in research funding support over five years.

Through this project, WPI-AIMEC aims to promote research exchange and human resource development in collaboration with overseas institutes.
