At the One Ocean Science Congress (OOSC) held in Nice, France, from 3 to 6 June 2025, Prof. Toshio Suga (Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University), Director of WPI-AIMEC, presented the institute’s work in a talk entitled “Integrated Approaches to Unravel Marine Ecosystem Responses and Adaptations to Environmental Change.” He also moderated the “OneArgo” session, which set out plans to strengthen the ocean observing network by using the autonomous robots, including BGC (biogeochemical) Argo floats.
OOSC is a congress that provides scientific findings and recommendations to support discussions at the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) aimed at achieving Sustainable Development Goal 14, “Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources”
