On Saturday, May 17, WPI-AIMEC participated in the JAMSTEC Open House for the first time, setting up a booth and welcoming many visitors throughout the day. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!

At the booth, we introduced AIMEC’s marine research through a science talk and participatory exhibits on the link between marine ecosystems and people, and a display of fish specimens collected directly from the Sanriku coast. AIMEC members also engaged with visitors at other booths throughout the event.
