AIMEC-FRA joint workshop in Shiogama City

AIMEC-FRA workshop was held at Shiogama branch of the Fisheries Resources Institute, Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency on April 28, 2026.

This workshop was held to deepen mutual understanding between researchers at WPI-AIMEC and researchers at Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency, and to discuss new opportunities for joint research on ocean environmental variation in the northwestern Pacific. 24 researchers and staffs from AIMEC and FRA participated. 20 flash talks and 17 poster presentations, and 4 oral presentations were given. A tour of Wakataka-maru, Fisheries Research Vessel and the zooplankton sample storage were also conducted.
