Prof. Toshio Suga (Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University), Director of WPI-AIMEC, breaks down the connection between global warming and water-related disasters in Tohoku in an easy-to-understand way in a video produced by the General Insurance Association titled “How Can We Prepare for Water Disasters in Tohoku? – Let’s Think About Practical Measures.”

The video also features first‑hand accounts from people affected by flooding and practical preparedness advice from a disaster‑management official in Yamagata Prefecture.
