Professor Shang-Ping Xie, Principal Investigator at WPI-AIMEC, Elected to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, Prof. Shang-Ping Xie, PI of WPI-AIMEC (UREX-Affiliate Professor, Tohoku University / Distinguished Professor, University of California, San Diego), was elected a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences (NAS). NAS states that members are elected in recognition of distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.
