Our ocean is changing faster than ever, impacting the climate we live in, the marine life and the well-being of communities worldwide. Responding to these changes requires science that bridges disciplines, borders and societies.
From February 4 – 6, 2026, the Advanced Institute for Marine Ecosystem Change (WPI-AIMEC) and the Nature Positive Sustainable Development Hub will host a three-day events in Tokyo designed for collaboration, dialogue and co-design. The event brings science, technology, policy and society into conversation to help build a more resilient and sustainable future for the ocean.
The event also marks the launch of two UN Ocean Decade Actions led by WPI-AIMEC:

Dates and times:
Format: Hybrid (onsite and online)
Language: English, with simultaneous Japanese interpretation (available on 5 and 6 February)
