This year, the Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU) will jointly host the meeting.

At the WPI-AIMEC booth on Sunday May 24, WPI-AIMEC Researcher, Associate Prof. Baolan Wu, a physical oceanographer (Graduate School of Science, Tohoku University), will give three short talks throughout the day introducing her research and career path, each followed by a Q&A session. The talks are designed for high school students and above, but all participants are welcome.

Talk times: 11:15–11:30 / 13:30–13:45 / 15:00–15:15

Throughout the week, the WPI‑AIMEC booth will share the institute’s research and invite visitors to reflect on the role of the ocean and its ecosystems in our daily lives. Fish specimens and a real Argo float will also be on display.
