On Saturday, July 25, 2026, WPI-AIMEC Vice Director, Fumio Inagaki (Professor, Tohoku University, and Principal Researcher, JAMSTEC), will be a featured speaker at the Tohoku University Forum 2026 in Tokyo, held at Station Conference Tokyo.

Under the lecture title “Challenges in Understanding and Predicting Marine Ecosystem Dynamics,” he will introduce the latest achievements and initiatives driven by interdisciplinary research and international collaboration. The talk will also explore the concept of “Planetary Stewardship” aimed at fostering a sustainable society.
